MEET THE OWNER

MALORY LARSON, MSN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC
Hey there, I'm Malory, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and the owner and sole operator of Wellful Psychiatry, PLLC, located in my hometown of Waukon, Iowa!

I first started my career in nursing over 20 years ago working as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) at local nursing homes. After high school, I attended nursing school at Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) and graduated with my associate's degree in nursing (ADN) in 2010. I later graduated from Upper Iowa University with my bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) in 2013. After graduating with my BSN, I worked on a 30-bed inpatient behavioral health unit for six years while obtaining my master's degree in nursing (MSN) from Walden University, graduating in 2019.

My years working inpatient, along with personal experience, opened my eyes to how mental health disorders were treated, and I strived to do better.
Prior to opening Wellful Psychiatry, I was working at a rural health clinic where I was able to refine my skills as a psychiatric nurse practitioner for over four years.

Outside of work, my kids keep me busy with their various extracurricular activities! I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, hiking with my corgi, soaking up the sun on the Mississippi or Upper Iowa rivers, or reading a good book.
I'm beyond thankful for my past experiences in nursing, but I'm even more thrilled to provide patient-centered mental health care in a private practice setting.

At Wellful Psychiatry, you will be listened to, respected, and supported throughout your journey.
I look forward to working with you!
